HERE IS WHAT YOU CAN and CANNOT BRING
(Note Charge for Televisions and CRT Monitors)

DOCUMENT SHREDDING :: Document shredding and recycling 
Documents are shredded onsite then taken for recycling.  Bring documents such as credit card statements, old checks, tax returns, and anything that could be used to steal your identity if it fell into the wrong hands.

Accepted: Paper and photos in an untied garbage bag or open box

Not Accepted: binders, newspaper, hardback books


E-WASTE :: Computers, monitors, DVD players, electronics, small appliances, stereos

Accepted: Working/non-working computers, printers, small copiers, faxes, scanners, phone systems, servers, calculators, stereos, speakers, cameras, gaming consoles, PDAs, cell phones, electronics, accessories and parts including cables, mouse, keyboards, software, modems, tape drives, disk drives, laptop batteries, adapter, docking stations, credit card readers, diskettes

Working and non-working monitors and televisions, CRT and flat-screen

Non-working small appliances (typically counter top units or smaller) including microwaves, coffee makers, food processors, vacuums

NOTE: There is a charge for CRT monitors and all televisions.  Accepted payments: cash, credit or debit.  No checks.
CRT monitors: $15
All televisions: $25

Not Accepted: batteries or lightbulbs


FABRIC AND NOTIONS :: Fabric, notions and sewing supplies
Accepted:  Clean fabric bolts, large pieces, and scraps; Elastic, trim, velcro, ribbon, thread; Buttons snaps, zippers, and other closures; Fiberfill, batting, and foam; Sewing tools (needles, pins, thimbles, pincushions); Small sewing machines in working order; Needlepoint; Sewing patterns and instruction books; Fabric and upholstery samples and books.

Guidelines:  Make sure donations are clean and free from any sharp and protruding objects.  Be sure any needles, pins, etc. are packed so they can’t stick.


OFFICE SUPPLIES 
Accepted:  Stickers; Coloring books; Computer paper and cardstock; Lined paper - loose and notebooks; Colored paper: construction, origami, etc; Rolls of paper, newsprint, graph paper; Scrapbook paper and supplies; Printer photo paper and labels; Ledger and receipt pads, Post-its; Office tools, staplers, hole punch, tape; Maps, posters, postcards; Bubble wrap, packing peanuts, mailing tubes and envelopes (used OK); Greeting cards, envelopes, stationary; Page protectors, binder tabs; Small chalkboards, whiteboards, clipboards; Book binding tools and supplies; Books (no water damage); Calendars - new and used; Photos and photo albums; Vintage magazines (older than 1990) and National Geographic.

Not Accepted:  Filing cabinets, dried up or empty markers or paints, computers, modems, printers, TV’s; Hanging and file folders, folder tabs; Binders


DONATIONS :: Gently-used, clean personal items; household items in good working order

Accepted: Clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes/boots; household items, vacuums, linens, and appliances; toys, games, puzzles; antiques, paintings, and collectibles; furniture; books and magazines; musical instruments, CD and DVD players, VCRs, radios, cameras; computers, CPUs, flat screen monitors, printers in good working order; sports and exercise equipment. Not accepted: Large furniture; baby swings, car seats, drop-side cribs; paints, light fixtures; anything in poor condition
 


MEDICATIONS :: Over-the-counter and prescription drugs
Metro Police Department will be onsite to collect prescription drugs for proper disposal.  Keep medication in original packaging if possible.  Cross out name and address, but do not cross out name of medication.  

Accepted: Prescription medications; all over-the-counter medications; pet medications; medicated ointment, lotions, or drops; liquid medications in leak-proof containers; inhalers; pills in any packaging, including glass, plastic containers, plastic bags, glass, foil

Not Accepted: Illegal drugs and narcotics, needles/sharps or syringes with needles, blood sugar equipment, thermometers, IV bags, bloody or infectious waste, personal care products (lotions, shampoos, etc.)
