West End United Methodist Church

Faith and Mental Health

Join Rev. Claire Harris Kramer, LMSW for a lunch on Thursday, May 30 at 12:30 p.m. We'll explore scripture and poetry as we discuss how our faith is a resource for coping with mental health challenges like anxiety and depression. We'll draw on our own experiences and think about how spiritual practices can be beneficial for our mental health. This will be a discussion based luncheon with plenty of space for questions.

Claire Harris Kramer is a social worker, mental health therapist, and an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). She has over a decade of ministry experience working with teenagers and adults and providing pastoral care. Claire currently works as a therapist at The Counseling Center at Belle Meade UMC providing support to people experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, perinatal mood disorders, and trauma, including religious trauma.

In her free time, Claire enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants and traveling with her spouse, and being outside with her daughters and two Springer Spaniels.
