Join members and guests of West End for a traditional (English) Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper at 5 p.m. in McWhirter Hall.  Barley to Rise will be serving sausage and pancakes with many topping options.  Advance ticket sales are encouraged, as a large crowd is expected.  Get your tickets online here or purchase your tickets in Reed Hall after services on February 9, 16, and 23.  Tickets will also be available at the door on Shrove Tuesday. Tickets prices are $8 for adults and $4 for children.  There will be a table for children to create crowns and Mardi Gras masks to wear in the Jazz Mass processional. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to support West End’s Sunny Day Club.  The mission of The Sunny Day Club is to provide social interaction, stimulation, and friendship in a caring and safe environment for those experiencing the early stages of memory loss, as well as provide respite for their family caregivers.  The Sunny Day Club offers caregivers a known block of time that they can count on to run errands, meet a friend for lunch, or take a much-needed nap.  Sunny Day members enjoy a social outing, physical and mental exercise, acceptance, and new friends.  Finally, Sunny Day volunteers receive the benefit of watching the joy on the faces of the members, which is priceless.
