West End 150th Film Project - Communion on May 7
As part of the 150th Anniversary we are creating a series of 3 short films that express and share the loving light of Christ. In order to capture the heart of our church and congregation we are photographing during a few of our services, and May 7, a communion service, is one of those days. In addition to the photographs during that service, Mac Pirkle and Britt Simmons of Creative Communications would like to record a third communion that day right after the 11 a.m. service strictly for the camera. It will be a bona fide communion, just like we do in a normal service.
Volunteers will be asked to participate in communion as you always do, and Britt will be moving among us taking pictures. The more people participating, the more it will be like a regular communion. We encourage you to be here at noon on May 7. The process will take about an hour once the sanctuary is clear from the 11 a.m. service. So...plan to attend the 11 a.m. service and stay after, or arrive at noon for the filming.
While an RSVP is not required, if you know you can make it, please let us know below. We hope many of you will attend this filming event as an important witness to one of the most meaningful Christian rituals of our faith.
