An Old Testament of Grace
Many people think the God of the Old Testament is very different from the God of Jesus Christ. People often describe the Old Testament God as angry and full of wrath. Jesus, however, does not present a new God, and in today’s scripture passage the prophet Hosea speaks the word of a God who has every reason to be angry with Israel but longs for them to return and promises not to forsake them. This is an Old Testament God of grace. (NOTE: Although the video begins with the Children’s Moment, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want.
