The women arrive at the tomb on the first day of the week, not to do anything, but just to see the tomb. While others had abandoned him, they had seen him die, and everything they had hoped for had died with him. Although as they approach the tomb there is much to frighten them, including an earthquake that rolls away the stone from the tomb’s entrance, some stranger tells them not to be afraid. This stranger then tells them what to do, and these two unlikely women end up being the first preachers of the Gospel. But everything that happened seems unlikely -- life out of death?
