This is Transfiguration Sunday, and the reading is the Lukan account of that amazing and mystical revelation of the nature of Jesus.  The reading goes on to detail several encounters as the four descend from that mountain, events that bring them back to reality,    But the take-away is in the words coming from the cloud, saying that Jesus is God’s son, and advising them to listen to him.  In times of intense difficulty and struggle, we must focus on those words.  (NOTE:  Although the video begins with the Communion Meditation, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want.  The video of the entire service is available to watch.)
