The familiar story from Luke has Jesus at the home of Martha and Mary, where Mary is working hard to prepare a meal while Mary simply sits at the feet of Jesus and listens to him.  Martha is upset because Mary isn’t helping, and she tells Jesus so.  Jesus takes Mary’s side, telling Martha that Mary is doing a good thing.  But doesn’t Jesus call us to serve?  How are we to understand that Jesus calls us to serve but is critical of Martha’s service?   (NOTE:  Although the video begins with the Children’s Moment, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want.  The video of the entire service is available to watch.)
