Perfect Love?
We continue our series on the Sermon on the Mount with a look at what are perhaps the most difficult and demanding words of Jesus as he commands us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us. Further, he tells us to “be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect.” Who can do those things, and wouldn’t we want to change the behavior of some evil people rather than simply open our arms to love them? What are we supposed to do with these commandments from Jesus? (NOTE: Although the video begins with the Children’s Moment, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want. The video of the entire service is available to watch.)
