Speakers:Rev. Dr. Carol Cavin-DillonTopics:Advent, Holy communion, Sermon, Sunday service
This is the first Sunday in Advent, a time of waiting, which, in today’s culture, is not something we do well. If we ask what we are waiting for in Advent, many of us will think of Christmas, or of the birth of the Christ child. But today’s passage in Luke points to something perhaps even more radical at the end of the wait. (NOTE: Although the video begins with the Children’s Moment and sermon, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want. The video of the entire service is available to watch.)
