Today is Pentecost Sunday, the day we celebrate the birth of the Church, a time when we read about the coming of the Spirit that resulted in those present speaking in every language and converting hundreds. And yet, there are events around us that can make us feel there is no celebration in us. How are we to understand the working of the Spirit in those dark times in our lives?
