Continuing our series of sermons, “Lessons from the Road,” based on Luke 14-19, in today’s scripture Jesus tells a parable about the manager for a rich man.  This manager had been “squandering his property,” so the rich man called him in to fire him.  The manager, in a move to save himself, made quick deals with the rich man’s debtors.  As a result, the rich man praised the manager for being shrewd.  Is Jesus telling his followers that being shrewd is a good thing?   (NOTE:  Although the video begins with the Children’s Moment, once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want.  The video of the entire service is available to watch.)
