When I was young I thought that Qoheleth, the Preacher/Teacher of Ecclesiastes, was old and cynical. Now that I am more mature and experienced, I think he old and realistic. The Preacher/Teacher reflects on the nature of life with all of its beauty and all of its challenges. And change is a fundamental part of life.
