This is the first of West End’s 2023 Lenten Noon Concert series and features Malcolm Matthews at the Moller organ.   Dr. Matthews is currently Associate Organist and Choirmaster at Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville, and is also Adjunct Professor of Organ and Harpsicord at the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University.  He has won a number of awards, among which is the Eastman School of Music’s Artisan Certificate, one of only four organists in the school’s 100-year history to have received it.   He has also played with a variety of symphony orchestras.  In this concert Dr. Matthews plays classical works by Beethoven, Vierne, Brahms, and Mendelssohn.  (NOTE: A pdf of the program is available below to view and/or download.)
