This is the second of West End’s 2023 Lenten Noon Concert series and features Andrew Risinger at the Moller organ.   Risinger is, and has been since 1995, Organist and Associate Director of Music here at West End UMC.  He also serves as an adjunct member of the music faculty at Belmont University, the curator for the Nashville Symphony’s organ, and he is the organist with that symphony.  This concert includes a range of eras of organ music by Vierne, Howells, Bach, Langlais, and Messaien, including a range of types from the meditative pieces of Howells and Langlais to the mighty sounds of Vierne and Messaien.  The program also exhibits Mr. Risinger’s passion for French organist/composers.  (NOTE: A pdf of the program is available below to view and/or download.)
