We are celebrating the 150th anniversary of West End United Methodist Church, and this Hymn Festival on October 15, 2023, was a large part of the celebration. Both adult choirs (Sanctuary and Chancel Choirs) and the church's bell choirs participated. Anton Armstrong, Conductor of the St. Olaf Choir, was guest conductor, and our Minister of Music, Matthew Phelps, and Associate Minister of Music and Organist, Andrew Risinger, participated, as did a brass ensemble with Jeff Bailey and Joel Treybig, trumpets, and Josh Scalf and Evan Clifton, trombones, as well as guest violinist, Denise Baker.
