Children's Ministry Milestone Event for Kindergarten, 1st Grade and 2nd Grade
Each year we celebrate Faith Milestones with our children at West End. Our Faith Milestone program is designed to partner with families to find ways for children and families to grow in faith at church and at home. We are excited to bring three of our Milestones together to make one big celebration! We will be learning about worship, Baptism and Holy Communion with our Kindergarteners, 1st Graders, and 2nd Graders on Sunday March 3rd 1:00-2:30pm.
Kindergarteners will learn about the pattern of worship and why we worship together to praise God and grow in our faith.
1st Graders will learn about Baptism and how and why and what it means to be Baptized.
2nd Graders will learn about Holy Communion and how we celebrate this sacred meal together.
Here is what the Milestone Event will look like:
- All families will gather in McWhirter Hall for fellowship and an overview of our topics: worship and sacraments.
- We will then break out into age level groups for specific topics and activities. At least 1 parent should plan to go with each child if you have kids in more than one age group.
- We will gather back together in the sanctuary for a short worship service celebrating what we have just learned. Kids will be able to help us lead this worship service!
- We will also send home a gift bag of goodies and a folder of activities that you can do together at home to learn more about worship, Baptism, and Holy Communion.
