(NOTE: This being the day after Christmas, there is only one worship service, held at 10 o'clock.)  The sermon title comes from a song in the musical, “Hamilton,” where Hamilton is always moving while Aaron Burr’s advice is to “wait for it.”  This being the first Sunday after Christmas, today’s reading is of Mary and Joseph taking the baby to the temple for dedication.  There they are met by Simeon and then by Anna, each of whom recognizes the significance of this baby.  Simeon and Anna are symbols of waiting, and now the centuries of waiting are realized in the birth of this child.  Sometimes the “it” we’ve waited for turns out to be very different as the wait for a King of the Jews produced a very different king than many expected.  This king was born to an unmarried woman and into poverty, recognized as king by two elderly people in the temple.  Are we able and willing to wait?  (NOTE: The video begins with the Children’s Moment, but once it starts you can scroll back to the beginning of the service if you want.  The entire service is videoed.)
