The Taizé Service of Prayer and Healing is a different kind of worship service. Contemplative in nature, it is one of the ways to get in touch with one’s mystical self in the company of others with a similar intent, quieting the mind and listening for God.  This service is led by Rev. Will McLeane, our Pastor of Spiritual Formation and the Taizé musicians with Andrew Risinger at the piano.  As is usual for these services, music from the Taizé community in France is used throughout.  There is a reading from the letter to the Ephesians and a poem by Mary Oliver, encouraging our meditation.  Will also gives us a period of guided meditation before a long silence during which we can, having thus been prepared, meditate.  There is then an invitation to and a time for healing.   (Note: A full program bulletin containing all of the music and references is available for download as a pdf below.)
